RUSD Gifford School

PIDA is excited to be working with Racine Unified Schools District on the addition and partial renovation to Gifford School. With an enrollment of 1,150 students, Gifford School hosts both elementary education and middle school students (K through 8th). The 227,000 square foot school was originally constructed in 1966, and PIDA is the Architect of Record for the school’s first addition in 2016. The current project scope includes a 12,000 square foot middle school gymnasium addition with 312 seat capacity pull-out bleachers. Included in the project scope is nearly 82,000 square feet of alterations in the original 1966 portion of the building.

Groundbreaking and construction are anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2025.
