Prairie Medical LEED Certified

This medical office and research facility is Illinois’ first dual certified “sustainable” building, receiving LEED Silver certification from the USGBC (United States Green Building Council) and Three Green Globe sustainable certification from the Green Building Initiative.

Our client was curious to see the means, methods, similarities and differences of each certification process. He believed the best way to accomplish this comparison would be by certification by both institutions. We are proud to have assisted him in this process and comparison.

These certifications were accomplished by somewhat standard means for new construction on a new site, including but not limited to credits for:
