​I volunteered as a docent for the Farnsworth House designed by Mies van der Rohe in Plano, Illinois in 2008 and 2009. I am currently active in my church (teaching Sunday School, watching kids in the nursery, and occasionally playing piano).

Personal Statement

I always get a thrill out of seeing designs go from inside my mind, to putting them down on paper (or computer screen), to actually built in real life and seeing the space used by other people I don’t know. It’s a great responsibility to be able to affect the lives of others in a tangible way through the built environment. I am extremely proud to have worked on many healthcare projects, and I hope that my small contributions have helped to somehow improve the lives of those who are struggling with health challenges and difficulties.
