Externs – Spring 2024

PIDA grew our involvement in the externship programs this year, having not 1 but 3 architecture students from the University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and Northeastern University in Boston participate!

Sofi, Skyler, and Yasmine were welcomed into our offices for a week-long intensive externship. During their time here they were exposed to a variety of professional experiences including job shadowing, attending planning and client meetings, developing schematic designs in Revit and drafting in AutoCad. The week also involved site visits, including the Kenosha Unified School District – LakeView Technology Academy project, which is currently under construction.

This is the second year PIDA has hosted externs, and we were thrilled again for the opportunity to not only teach and mentor the next generation of design professionals, but also learn more about them and what they are learning in school.
